Some people jump for joy at the opportunity to be a "tourist."
The museums...
the palaces...
the historical monuments...
I am simply not one of those people - at least not after having seen nearly
8 museums
4 palaces
and over 10 historical monuments...
not to mention all of the gardens.
It's been a blast, don't get me wrong!
But as a tourist, you're constantly going to see/visit/explore someone else's home...
someone else's garden...
someone else's history...
and I think I'm just ready to come home to my own.
Long story short: I've got homesickness.
I've got wonderful friends that help me to forget about that ache in my heart for a little while with their expert distraction techniques...
But even the great Blenheim Palace...
couldn't keep my thoughts from straying home...
Did you know that my mom is an incredible gardener?
And that every time I see a garden full of flowers I think of her and the garden she has created in our backyard back home?
mmm....
Miss you, Mom.
I guess I just can't hide it anymore...
I just can't "disguise" my feelings...
or my excitement...
London, I love you.
But ready or not, Home I come!
Countdown to departure: 7 days...
