The View From Up Here...

Pretend this was posted on Thursday.

hehe.

Remember how I'm bad at blogging consistently?

Inconsistent bloggers - procrastinate!

Guess where you should go to see the best sites in London?

Here:

And by "here" I mean on the top of a double decker bus.

I felt very "Amanda Bynes" from "What a Girl Wants."

Minus the cute British boy, of course.

They also do double-decker boat rides!

Yeah. It was grand.

What I learned about London from above:

- Bus drivers are crazy drivers. You know, driving on the wrong side and everything...

- Pigeons are everywhere - and they have hard lives. Feed the birds, people. Feed the birds.

- The trees they have here are incredibly annoying in the spring. They shed fuzzy, pollen-y seeds like no other. However, they suck up the pollution from the city into their bark. There's the silver lining!

- You can always count on guys to get excited about cars. No matter their nationality. We saw three businessmen walking down the street and each of them stopped simultaneously as they passed by an Audi shop. Then they all went inside.

- Things really aren't as far apart as they seem. Riding the Tube just makes you think everything is miles and miles apart.

- London is windy. Especially from up high.

Then we went and saw the Globe's production of Shakespeare's Hamlet.

And, yes, this picture is accurate.

Hamlet spent most of the play in his underwear.

It was an interesting rendition of the play; however, after seeing two performances at the Globe, I'm troubled by the inconsistency of the acting that takes place on stage. Motives are not always clear, emotions are roller-coaster-like to an extreme, and everything always ends with a jig.

Maybe I'm just cynical because I don't know how to jig.

Yup. That's it.

Oh well - "To thine own self be true," my friends!
