With a Little Help From My Friends...

Once upon a time there were these four guys who crossed a street...

and the street became infamous.

The end.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to reenact the "real" photo shoot.

Abbey Road is actually an incredibly busy road.

Funny story:

We were following a regular map to find this "sacred" place,

but the map didn't exactly say,

"Here marks the spot where the Beatles crossed the road to get to the other side."

So we went down the road a ways...

Started taking road crossing pictures...

when...

A British woman approached us

-obviously aware of what we were doing -

and said,

"You do know that this isn't the right crossing, right? It's the one down the road."

Have I been in the U.K. for over a month and still stick out like a sore thumb as a silly American?

Yup.

But at least I didn't look stupid alone!

I'm sure the "locals" are just fed-up and tired of tourists coming to take pictures on their road,

but I was fed-up and tired, too!

I mean, it takes a lot to get up on a rainy morning at 6:30am just to go cross a road!

So, to make it up to the locals,

I took a nap.

Dreamed a dream....

Really, I don't know how I would have gotten through these past 6 weeks without my wonderful friends here who get me out of bed to go on runs and not wallow in my engagement-separation-woes.

Countdown to seeing Sean: 7 days.

There are some things that help me "get by..."

Seeing shows like...

...starring Rupert Everett as Professor Higgins...

but, alas, he ran off before we could get his autograph.

Of course, chocolate always helps...

And then listening to the Beatles.

Cheers!
