A "Week" Behind Makes for a "Weak" Blog

So, it's taken a week for me to give in to the

Study Abroad Blog Craze.

Blog. It's whatcha do when you're in London.

And in London, I am!

So, what do you do in London on a Study Abroad?
(or what have I done this past week?)

Let the picture montage begin!

First, you learn the following:

Then, you eat cheese. Lots of it. Whole rooms full of it.

Then you eat at Nando's...

...and wipe your face with this napkin.

Then you go and visit the sites:

Like Buckingham Palace...

And BIG BEN! ...

...and Westminster Abbey...

...and Shakespeare's Globe Theater...

...just across the Thames!

Then there's always the London Eye, lit up at night...

And the National Museum at Trafalgar Square!
But to get there, you have to learn how to ride the TUBE!

And take the stairs (all 104 of them in this picture!)...

Everyone knows we're tourists when we're on the Tube.

Then - you try and steal a program for the Royal Wedding!

Yup - Will and Catherine live there now!

We got to watch the wedding in Hyde Park with thousands of Brits!
Lots of them were drunk, but - hey! That's the British!

Then you hang out in Hyde Park a lot...

...there is a source of great creativity there...

and really powerful drinking fountains. Yikes.

It's also a great place to sunbathe apparently.

But don't worry - we averted our eyes from the naked sunbathers.
And our cameras...

P.S. If you try to climb the trees, this may occur:

Oh, and of course, if you're in London, you must visit:

where there is much singing...

and merry-making...

and really funny outfits...

But of course! Then there's the crepes!

Well, YOU try eating it gracefully...

Chances are you'll look cute doing it - and end up with chocolate on your face.

Warning: the paper plate often leaks.

I know what Sean would want to buy if he were here.
Can anyone say "Donuts?"

Then of course there's the largest pan of boiling chicken you've ever seen in your life.
Definitely on the to-do list for next week.

And of course - the shopping.

While you're at it, be sure to admire the quaint homes along the way:

Then, there's the spiritual enlightenment.

The Stake President here in London issued our group a challenge: "Know Thyself," he said. "Let the Lord show you who you are here in London."
So, we're finding ourselves.

Then, on fun nights, we hit Chinatown!

And go see a show!

"Mamma Mia, Here I go again! My, my, How can I resist ya?"

Then, there's always gelato as a sweet and blissful end to the day.

But notice how our days start much later here. Thank you, Jet-lag.

But if I had one wish...

 it would be...

To have him here with me...

But oh, what fun friends there are to make!

Well - here's to one week in London! Cheers!
