The Royal Wedding Revisited...

So does this blessed British Event ring a bell?

It wasn't all that long ago that Will and Kate

- now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -

emerged from this grand building as Royal Husband and Wife.

And even though it's been a week,

England will not rest until they have overly celebrated this union!

How much money do you think the country makes on all memorabilia?

Anywho - they kept Westminster Abbey

(the place where Will and Kate tied the knot)

open to the public so that all of the many tourists could come and enjoy the wedding experience.

So - I went with some cute girls

And stood in line - IN THE RAIN
(but I can't really complain because it's really the first day it's rained since we arrived)

And they STILL wouldn't let us take pictures inside!

Lamesauce.

But guess what?

I did it anyway.

Jason Bourne had nothing on my sneakiness.

However, the quality of photo reflects a certain sense of hurriedness and lack of flash.

Let me give you the tour through my illegally captured photos:
Below, we have Kate Middleton's somewhat withering bouquet resting on the Unknown Soldier grave.

Next, we have the arch she walked through on her 4 minute aisle procession...

...their vow chairs...

...the ceiling of Henry VII's Lady Chapel

(what does "lady" chapel mean anywho?)

...the Poet's Corner with a memorial to Shakespeare...

...and lastly, a very blurred version of the stained glass windows and chandeliers in the Abbey.

After hiding my camera behind my companions for most of this photo-shoot,

I'd have to say,

"Not too shabby!"

Isn't it sad the lengths we're willing to go to get close to royalty?

(Yeah - that's a picture of her entering the Abbey at the exact place I was standing.
It's like I was practically there.)

Then, of course, we took off for the palace of the first & second kiss!

And then - to the CARRIAGES!

Warning: If you ask to take a ride in this Coronation Carriage, this guy will probably "BLOW" you off.
hehe.

Then, of course, there's the carriage Will and Kate rode in after the ceremony...

And the Rolls Royce Kate rode in TO the ceremony...

We're kind of nutty when it comes to the Royal Wedding...

But at least we're not this crazy:
