And when I say "Woman" I mean -

This is my gorgeous little sister.

Isn't she the most beautiful woman you've ever seen?

Well, she is to me.



Recently, she went to her first prom.

Her first prom, folks!

And I wasn't there.

I wasn't there to see her get her makeup done.

I wasn't there to see her get her hair done.

I wasn't there to take these gorgeous pictures of her beforehand.

I wasn't there to be giddy and excited before her date arrived.

I wasn't there to tell her how beautiful she was that day.

I wasn't there to tell her how much I love her and continually look up to her.

She was there for my proms...

And oh how I wish I could have been there for hers.

I love you, Emmy.

You surprise me everyday with how much more beautiful and mature you are than the last time I saw you.

How I wish I could have been there to celebrate with you -

to wait up late until you got home so I could hear all about it -

to embarrass you in front of your date

(like a good older sister should, of course!). 

I love you - and miss you like crazy!
