"Nothing" Has Never Been So Wonderfully Something!

"I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest."
- William Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing, Act 4, scene 1

Best play seen in London so far:

The Globe's production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

Hands down.

I highly recommend that you at least watch the movie version with Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh.

You want to know the part of the play that was my favorite?

It was the part where I looked over to my left at one of my professors and watched his frail and disabled wife reach out to take his hand with both of hers.

 Yup.

Rodger, our professor for the Theater class, is probably pushing 60, but has the youth and vitality of a 20 year old. His wife was diagnosed with a pretty severe disease (can’t remember the title) where her muscles are slowly deteriorating.

Anywho, our other professor (Phil) has had his wife with him this whole time, but Rodger’s wife just flew in on Sunday. International travel really isn’t all that easy when you travel in a wheelchair...especially in countries that don’t have a lot of handicap access.

In the middle of one of the sweetest, funniest and most romantic shows I've ever seen, all I can do is watch them together and wish that it was me - Sean and I. Oh, that WE were the cute, old couple who were so content to sit and hold hands....forever.

Mushy, I know.

But who can NOT love this guy?

Footnote:
We had italian food after the show.
I was missing Rome and had a hankering for something cheesy.

(Bonus/Unnecessary Tidbit: We ate at Da Mario's - Princess Diana's favorite Italian restaurant!)

Sadly - my taste buds have been spoiled by authentic Italian food - never to be satisfied again!
(okay...maybe just give it a while and Olive Garden will probably be better than ever).
